Gas Monitors/Detectors and Hand Sanitizer
We just wanted to let everyone know that Gas Monitors/Detectors and Hand Sanitizer do not mix well. The action of the alcohol evaporating wreaks havoc with the CO sensor on the monitor. We suggest that after sanitizing your hands, put a pair of disposable gloves on prior to handling the gas monitor. This will mitigate any issues. If you have forgotten about this tip and have the CO sensor alarming, just turn off the monitor, leave it for an hour, turn it back on and it should operate just fine.
