Hearing Protection Fit Testing
Effective March 31, 2023, Part 16 of the Alberta OHS Code requires employers to ensure noise-exposed workers are fit tested for the hearing protection devices they use. This test confirms that the selected hearing protection—whether earplugs, earmuffs, or dual protection—is providing adequate noise reduction for the individual.
We offer fit testing for:
- Earplugs (including custom molded)
- Earmuffs (headband-style or hard hat-mounted)
- Dual protection (earplugs + earmuffs)
