This course covers the safety procedures and practices involved in operating a Skid Steer Loader. Participants will learn about skid steer safety, equipment basics, pre-operational responsibilities and safe operating practices.
The course includes a written exam and a hands-on practical assessment using a skid steer loader. Each participant’s operating skills will be evaluated during the practical portion.
Topics Include:
- History and mechanics of the Skid Steer Loader
- Skid steer safety regulations and safety basics
- Pre-operational responsibilities and equipment maintenance
- Proper and safe skid steer operating methods
3-year certificate upon completion.
Attendees must bring basic PPE, including a hard hat, steel-toe boots, a reflective vest, and outdoor clothing for the practical portion.
